The problem
Investing, taxes, insurance, retirement. The education system didn't prepare you for the complexities of the real world.

Advertisements, influencers, internet personalities. Everybody around you claims to know an easy way for you to become filthy rich.

Information overload, misinformation. If you search long enough, you will find evidence for just about anything you wish to believe, or what others tell you to believe.

Financial advisors, bank employees. Although they should be your primary weapon in this chaos, their interests don't always align with your own. Good ones can take you to success, bad ones might become the reason you don't reach it.

A solution
It's not all opinions. An extensive body of academic research exists on these topics, and countless scholars persistently try to gain insight into these problems using the scientific method. Their research is peer reviewed, their claims are bolstered when found to be insightful, challenged when lacking substance, and ripped to pieces when outright untrue.
It's not a perfect solution, nor the solution, but it's as good as it gets.
